Artist Statement

My encaustic paintings are created from color, emotion, and light. Working with molten beeswax, damar resin, and pigments, I build luminous layers that invite reflection and connection. After experiencing a traumatic brain injury, art became my language for healing, color spoke where words could not.

Each piece begins intuitively, guided by movement and energy rather than plan or sketch. I explore the balance between control and surrender, allowing the wax to flow and transform, much like the healing process itself. My goal is to create art that radiates calm and hope; reminders that beauty often emerges from transformation, and that even in stillness, there is light.
