Artist Statement
My artistic journey begins with molten beeswax, the foundation of my encaustic paintings. Working with my own handcrafted paints, the medium's fluidity and luminosity allow me to create depth and movement that speak to the soul. Through years of experimentation, I've developed unique techniques for layering and moving wax, where each layer tells its own story, building rich textures and unexpected color combinations that emerge organically through the process.
Color is central to my artistic vision. Every shade carries its own energy, transforming spaces and evoking powerful emotional responses. Like my artistic influences, Vincent van Gogh and Frida Kahlo, I believe in art's ability to express life's deepest emotions. Van Gogh's bold use of color inspires my approach to layering wax, while Kahlo's transformation of personal experiences into vibrant imagery encourages my authentic expression.
My mantra, 'Shine your light and color your world,' embodies my artistic philosophy and creative mission. Through my work in encaustic painting, jewelry, and design, I create pieces that awaken joy, stir memories, and invite viewers to experience the transformative power of color in their own lives.
